Dyslexia Assessments

At Leap Dyslexia Services, we offer comprehensive diagnostic assessments for learners aged 8 to 16. These one-to-one assessments are designed to explore a young person's strengths, areas of difficulty, and learning profile in depth.

Our assessments are carried out in a supportive, calm environment to help each learner feel comfortable and confident. Using a range of standardised tests, we evaluate areas such as reading, spelling, memory, processing speed, and phonological skills.

It’s important to note that a diagnostic assessment may not always result in a formal diagnosis of dyslexia. However, the process is still incredibly valuable. Every assessment concludes with a detailed written report, outlining:

  • The learner’s strengths and areas that may require support

  • Clear, personalised recommendations for home and school

  • Suggestions for next steps and suitable interventions

Whether or not a diagnosis is given, this report can help you better understand your child’s unique learning profile and guide tailored support strategies moving forward.
